Variantes sobre un mismo tema/ Variants on the same topic

Hay temas que he vuelto a re elaborar durante el transcurso de mi obra, variantes sobre un mismo tema que he ido enriqueciendo con mayores detalles, variando el tamaño, los colores, la posición del cuerpo o la expresión del rostro. El alebije-pez del abismo es uno de esos temas recuerrentes, ya que lo he trabajado en tres ocasiones distintas. Las imágenes que presento son las de mi última versión de este alebrije.

La primera versión fue más pequeña, las patas eran más sencillas y parecidas a las de una rana, la cola terminaba en la forma de una mariposa, la parte superior tenía ciertos detalles de cangrejo y los dientes eran apenas unos palillos de dientes. En esta última versión, la pieza triplicó sus dimensiones, los ojos ya no eran solo pintados sino que tienen un volumen, y las alas y la cola también aumentaron su tamaño.

La idea original de este alebrije la tomé de una imagen que vi en televisión, donde se promovía en un comercial éstas populares artesanias mexicanas, mostrando unos extraordinarios ejemplares de los mismos. Recuerdo que el primer alebrije que hice y que fue el prototipo del pez del abismo fue un trabajo para un taller de artes plásticas de la secundaria. La pieza no era sino una forma ovoide con una cola muy simplificada de pez y extremidades rígidas, un par de alas en curva y unos cuernos, según recuerdo, no tenía siquiera cara y el color del cuerpo era de un chillante amarillo limón.

Creo que todavía no he agotado el tema de este alebrije y que podría darle vida a una variante auna más cercana a aquél alebrije en el que me inspiré, de hecho podría hacer dos variantes, una que esté enfocada más a la forma del pez y la otra más parecida a una forma más antropomórfica.

There are topics that I have to re prepared again during the course of my work, variants on the same topic that I have been enriching with major details, changing the size, the colors, the position of the body or the expression of the face. The alebije-fish of the abyss is one of these topics recuerrentes, since I it have been employed at three different occasions. The images that I present are those of my last version of this alebrije.

The first version was smaller, the paws were simpler and similar to those of a frog, the tail was ending in the form of a butterfly, the top part had certain details of crab and the teeth were scarcely a few toothpicks of teeth. In the latter version, the piece trebled his dimensions, the eyes were already not alone painted but they have a volume, and the wings and the tail also increased his size.

I took the original idea of this alebrije of an image that I saw in television, where popular Mexican crafts were promoted in a TV/radio commercial these, showing a few extraordinary copies of the same ones. I remember that the first alebrije that I did and that was the prototype of the fish of the abyss was a work for a workshop of plastic arts of the secondary one. The piece was not but an ovoid form with a very simplified tail of fish and rigid extremities, a pair of wings in curve and a few horns, according to memory, did not have even face and the color of the body was of a brilliant yellow lemon.

I believe that I have not exhausted the topic of this alebrije yet and that it might give him life to a variant it unites more nearby that one alebrije by that I was inspired, in fact it might do two variants, one that is focused more on the form of the fish and other one more similar to a more anthropomorphic form.
