Ent II

---------------
This is one more piece inspired by one of the shepherds of trees, an ent which took care of of the Black Forest during the first ages of the world in the universe described by Tolkien. It is an ent already in mature age, but not too much to have developed the wisdom of oldest, although sufficiently wise for the human standards. This piece happened through several stages of elaboration. The first stage meant doing the skeleton and the structure of the body… A first look made me give account that the legs of the ent were too long, causing the lose of the symmetry with which I wanted to equip it.

Although the piece himself seems asymmetric, for me it keeps certain harmoniousity that makes me think about a natural symmetry, as it happens indeed in the nature, that equips with extraodinary forms to the trees, so that none of them looks like another one, but even so it seems to us that the movement in its branches, as well as their number of leaves, or their twisted roots are as they would have to be.

The second stage of the piece, what implied to trim the legs to him, also supposed to add the detail of the beards and the eyebrows to the face, to equip it with a even more human expression, and to accentuate the idea of the passage of time in this creature. Even so, the piece is in a last readjustment of details, the final stage of the creation, but the result until now can be seen clearly.
