Ucorno III/ Huorn III

Los ucornos eran ents en estado más arbóreo y mucho más salvaje, quizá con mayor disposición a la agresión y a la venganza que los propios ents, de ahí a que formaran parte importante en el enfrentamiento de los ents en el Abismo de Helm en contra de los orcos, que acabaron por ser exterminados al dispersarse en el bosque de ents y ucornos que apareció repentinamente, así como para derrotar a Saruman dentro del círculo de Isengard.

Merry y Pippin describieron un poco sobre el enfrentamiento de los ents contra las fuerzas de Isengard, y el modo de reaccionar los ents ante el ataque de los enemigos. Al parecer detestaban las hachas, pero las otras armas poco daño podían hacerles, sin embargo, el fuego los ponía como locos, y eran capaces de desmenuzar la roca en segundos, como si se tratara del efecto causado por las raíces incrustadas en ellas durante años. Sobre todo, los ents y ucornos habían reaccionado con mayor hostilidad ante la caída de uno de sus hermanos, que había sido víctima de las llamas.

Saruman había subestimado el poder y la furia de los ents y los ucornos al considerar que no tomarían parte en una contienda, pero la intervención de Merry y de Pippin fue la piedra que liberó el alud que significaron los ents para la caida de la amenaza en que se estaba convirtiendo Orthanc.

The huorns were ents in more arboreal and much more wild state, perhaps with greater disposition to the aggression and the own revenge that ents, of there to that they comprised important in the confrontation of ents in Helm's Deep against the orcs, that finished for being exterminated when dispersing in the forest of ents and huorns that appeared suddenly, as well as tehy defeated Saruman in the circle of Isengard.

Merry and Pippin described a little the confrontation of ents against the forces of Isengard, and the way the ents reacted agianst the attack of the enemies. Apparently they detested the axes, but the other arms little damage could do to them, nevertheless, it put them to the fire like crazy people, and were able to crumble the rock in seconds, as if it was the effect caused by the roots inlaid in them during years. Mainly, ents and huorns had reacted with greater hostility before the fall of one of their brothers, that had been victim of the flames.

Saruman had underestimated the power and the fury of ents and the huorns considering that they would not take part in a fight, but the intervention of Merry and Pippin was the stone that released the avalanche that meant ents for the fall of the threat which Orthanc was becoming.
